Freidman has joined the Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA), a growing network of large and small businesses which enable employers to better support their employees to take action on domestic abuse. This includes raising awareness among all employees, and providing access to up-to-date, practical guidance and advice, services and resources to support those facing domestic abuse.

This also includes, importantly, the voices of survivors and business members, who share what works and why.

Only through greater awareness, relationship building and the sharing of best practice can we make a systematic change to the way domestic abuse is handled in the UK.

When employers demonstrate that they are aware of domestic abuse and make staff aware of the services that are available, this can help to reduce the wall of silence about domestic abuse that prevents many from seeking help.
